We arrived in the dead of night and initially found the directions very difficult to find the property. Once we did though we were overjoyed.

The property was clean and well equipped. It had all the facilities you could need for a weekend/week away with beautiful views. The layout for us was brilliant.

We have a small child and my parents were with us. So they used the master bedroom ensuite and we had the downstairs double bedroom with its own bath and separate shower. The beds were clean and so comfortable and the area generally was lovely and silent. We all slept perfectly which is rare away from home.

The golf course was friendly and the walk to Tenby took about 30 mins, but other than Tenby itself its all flat and we took a pushchair happily.

The only negative about this property is that although it is dog friendly, there isn't really anywhere to let them out without being with them, and this is so minor it wouldn't stop us taking our dog.

Overall, this was one of the best accommodations we have stayed in which is dog and child friendly.

This is an amazing Lodge, Extremely clean and comfortable with everything you need. A bit dicey moving a vehicle after rain, but we made it!! Perhaps another couple of pans and oven proof dishes would be a bonus but apart from that, Perfect. A big thank you Kate and also to your domestic staff.

The house has lots of character which is helped by the cosy furnishings and lovely pieces of colourful but tasteful art from around the world. It feels very roomy with lots of space for a few visitors for dinner (though not all around the table ).

Everything was spotlessly clean when we arrived and the house seemed very welcoming. The plot is just perfect, right amongst the trees with constant birdsong being pretty much the only thing you hear all day.

I was with my dad who's in his 70's ... he had the master bedroom with en-suite which he was delighted with. I had one of the twin rooms, while my 12 year old daughter and her friend shared the other twin... we were all more than happy with our accommodation.

The kitchen is very well equipped with every pot, pan or utensil you could possibly need.

We were lucky to spend a whole week here and we were sad to leave.

Wonderful venue for a family holiday The lodge was well equipped and beautiful presented. The lodge is next to the nearby hotel and golf course. So it is very handy to have a meal in the hotel. Well worth it as the food is excellent The quiet and peaceful surrounds of the Lodge is great. Although we went early in the year we were able to seat on the balcony and enjoy the sunshine.

Trefloyne is a great find for those looking for woodland / country relaxation.

Longbury lodge is perfect for the family - we were three adults (mother in law), two teenagers and two shih tzu boys!

The space is ideal with large kitchen diner, great for cooking and sitting around the table, two downstairs bedrooms and bathroom that separates the kids (and MIL) from the parents and upstairs double bedroom perfect just off the massive lounge that overlooks the trees and surrounding countryside.

When the weather is bad it’s ideal for a chill out (the wi fi worked well for the kids - and dad on skygo) It’s a 10 min car ride to Tenby where we visited their great restaurants (taxi back was a decent £8). Also we left the car at penally train station and walked across the golf course to the beach for a stroll into Tenby (what fantastic two beaches they have). Easy supermarket delivery from Tesco meant the break was perfect to escape corporate world- the weather was shocking but still had fab time so im guessing it’s near perfect if the sun made an appearance!

Thanks for the use- the dogs have asked to go back soon.

A Beautiful, clean and spacious lodge

Came to Longbury Lodge with my family and our dog and the cleanliness of the property was excellent, (considering it's pet friendly). It was well equipped and very comfortable. Very close to the town and a 2 minute drive to Penally beach, which was fab for the dog. Had a lovely stay and will 100% be coming back for the summer.

We visited some great beaches around the area Tenby’s local beaches with lots of rock pools and caves lovely walk from the lodge Freshwater West with its huge dunes Freshwater East with great pools. The lodge itself was perfect with everything we needed to hand. Have already recommended to friends and family!

Hi Kate,

Just to let you know we had a lovely stay at the lodge this weekend and grateful we could secure it so last minute. A lovely home from home in a quiet location, ideally located for easy access to Tenby town, beaches and family days out. The kids loved the lodge (especially on finding toys in the bedroom- a great touch). Pure tranquility, with privacy on the balcony and beyond.
We had everything we needed, and small touches like sponges/ washing up liquid / handsoap etc made a difference (we didn't expect any and brought a pile with us, but needn't have worried and would travel lighter in the future).
A lovely homely feel to the property and a good selection of books (I only wish I had time to read).
Once again, many thanks and pass onto the owners...a beautiful home.
Regards Ceri,Katie and the girls.

We booked this property at the last minute, for 3 nights- we're a family of 5 (3 young children) and a dog. Firstly can I say we're so grateful this property accepts dogs as we feel it is an important element of our holiday to bring our family dog. She loved the beaches and surroundings, and was completely relaxed and at ease in the lodge. Often dog friendly options are either one extreme or the other, super expensive or rather basic and lacking in comforts, but this place is clean, comfortable and respectable, and the owners clearly trust dog owners not to allow their mutts to mess their lovely place up, which in my opinion makes them very cool people! I think more and more dog owners use crates for their dogs now and this is really useful if you need to go out and leave the dog, then you can be 100% sure nothing untoward can happen when it is left unsupervised. Dogs aside, we found the lodge really spacious, clean, light and warm. The kids loved the house instantly and said 'the blue house' was awesome! There were no spooked children at bedtime, just rather excited ones. We slept well, it was so peaceful, zero traffic noise, just some owls hooting. All the facilities were good- good water pressure, plenty of hot water, big heated towel rails, quality fittings and finishes, nice floors to walk on barefoot (yes sadly that matters to me), big gas hob, plenty of room to swing a cat in the kitchen, a big veranda that the children enjoyed scooting up and down on. The mature woodland setting was unique and we felt privileged to be there. Each night we wandered back on the stoney woodland track to the clubhouse for a nightcap and found the service relaxed and friendly for a golf club. We ate there one night and the food was good honest gastro pub type food with some great local fish options and a good children's menu. There is nothing negative to say, only I would suggest to the golf club that they put a little sign up indicating where the lodges are when you arrive as after a four hour drive you're not in the mood for circling round the wrong car park or reversing down the wrong track! For future renters, when you've driven up the long driveway to Trefloyne Golf Club, it's the track on the left before the main car, left agin into the lodge complex and drive straight along to the end of the track to no 6. Use the top parking bay if you're worried about getting out of the steeper lower parking space! This was our first family holiday trip to Pembrokeshire and it didn't disappoint. If Longbury Lodge was available again for our dates, which due to our lifestyle is usually last minute, we would definitely return, but this time we promise not to drive off with the clothes horse (thank you for your understanding there Kate!). Many thanks.

We've been happily surprised by this lovely lodge. Beautiful place with all the mod cons. It was very quiet by a golf club. Love the decorations and very comfortable. We all had a great birthday weekend and would come back happily on an other occasion.

We stayed at 6 Longbury Lodge for 4 nights over half term with our 3 children, 15, 11 and 3 and they all loved it. It's located in a quiet area just outside of Tenby town centre next to Trefloyne golf course. Our lodge was lovely, it didn't overlook any of the other lodges as it was near the bottom, and just looked out into the wood. The open plan living was great, lots of space, kitchen and dining downstairs with a door leading to the downstairs terrace. Two bedrooms and family bathroom with bath and shower through a little hall just off the main living area. The upstairs had a large lounge with big floor to ceiling windows and a door leading onto the balcony, Wi-Fi was also available. Just off the lounge is the master bedroom, lots of space, and an en-suite with shower. Parking for maybe two cars, nice peaceful area, the nearby beaches in Tenby are beautiful and the few little pubs and restaurants in the town are great too, we absolutely loved it, can't wait to go back!
